Why abstract feng shui?

The incorporation of feng shui principles into artwork is a thoughtful approach to creating an environment that promotes well-being. Feng shui, the ancient Chinese art of placement, suggests that the colors and shapes we surround ourselves with can significantly affect our mood and energy. For instance, green is often associated with growth and renewal, making it a popular choice for plants that bring life into a space. Similarly, the color of one’s front door can be seen as a welcoming beacon; a bright red, for example, is believed to invite prosperity and positive energy. By integrating these elements into your artwork, you’re not only crafting a visually appealing piece but also one that may enhance the psychological comfort of the space it inhabits. It’s a harmonious blend of aesthetics and psychology, aiming to balance the energies within a room and, by extension, those who enter it. Such art can be a conversation starter, a source of calm, or a personal statement, reflecting the artist’s understanding of the interconnectedness of environment and mental state.

“My eyes were opened by a recent personal experience.
I made the decision to make repairs to my house after some major life changes. The living area had a sluggish, dusty feeling about it. I opted to position one of my favorite paintings in the room’s corner after moving the furniture. The space appeared to rotate, change, and then fall silent. I discovered that the color combinations of the artwork were favorably affecting the flow of energy in the space after investigating the feng shui color theory. I find the possibility fascinating of improving the mood of a home through colors and shapes.”

Painting is my language and where I feel most at home. I’m glad you’re here, and I hope that my work speaks to you.
